Bob Lincoln has almost 5 decades
of musical instruction experience. His students have ranged in age from
7 years to 70 years. He has taught literally thousands of people to play
and several of his students have gone on to play professionally.
Bob studied instrumental music education
at the "University of Central Arkansas" and the "University
of Arkansas at Little Rock." Bob has extensive experience in studio
recording and has played professionally since 1970.
Bob has accompanied several major
entertainers at the Vapors Theater in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he played
10 weeks a year for 15 years. These stars include Robert Goulet, Phyllis
Diller, Rick Nelson, the Smothers Brothers, the Lennon Sisters, the Lettermen,
Nipsy Russel, Frank Gorshen, Jerry van Dyke, Brenda Lee, Jim Neighbors,
Carol Channing, the Supremes, the list goes on and on... For 3 of those
15 years Bob was orchestra leader and general contractor at the Vapors.
Bob has also performed with dozens
of bands over the years playing various styles of music from rock to jazz
to country to classical. Bob has even appeared with international acts such
as the Royal Lipizzan Horse Show, the Ice Capades, and the Ringling Brother's
Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Bob's teaching methods are traditional
and pretty much "by the book" with emphasis on music reading fundamentals,
music theory, chord structure, and ear training. Of course his curriculum
is flexible in order to accommodate students with special interests or needs.
The most important thing is that the student enjoy each lesson.
Bob offers instruction in both electric
and acoustic guitar, and electric bass guitar. Remember, when you come to
a lesson you are not going to a practice. Practice is what you do at home.
When you go to a lesson you are attending, in part, a performance... A performance
where you are the star! |
